Appearance: Azalea has long flowing waves of deep brown hair that reaches down her back. She likes to wear it loose and always “forgets” a ribbon for science and physical classes. Her eyes are deep brown and seem to hold a fascination for the boys at the school.
Her fashion choices favour blue and green and everything she wears is up to the minute with royal fashion, but given her own, relaxed twist. Round her neck she wears a simple turquoise pendant that was a gift from her mother.
She walks with an easy confidence and a graceful air. She has a smile for everyone but will be much more reserved around those that have wronged her in the past.
Personality: Azalea has a very relaxed attitude to most things that come her way. She is not easy to upset but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care deeply about her friends, animals and even the plight of strangers. She can be accused of daydreaming in class, although all her work is done on time and to the highest of princessly standards.
She has a very strong sense of adventure and is always looking out for the next new or fun thing to do. She loves learning but often would rather be racing round the grounds on her flying carpet than learning the very particular way in which one should flutter her fan in order to draw the attention of a prince. She borrows textbooks from her princely counterparts and secretly learns about breaking curses and fighting dragons (although she’d rather have a shot at taming one).
Azalea will help anyone with a smile and often goes out of her way for other people, staff or student, however she is wise enough not to allow herself to be taken advantage of. She often helps tutor younger students, with the added benefit that when she bends a rule or two, the teachers mostly pretend not to see.

History: Azalea was born in the palace in Agrabah, the eldest child of Aladdin and Jasmine. She was doted on and spoiled by her grandfather the sultan. In order to avoid the “princesses must be married by their sixteenth birthday” law becoming an issue as it did with Azalea’s mother, on the occasion of Azalea’s birth, the sultan changed it to be that all royal children must be properly educated in royal matters.
As she grew up, Azalea learned by following her grandfather as he went about her day, earning her the nickname Sultana. From her mother she learned grace and to have empathy for the people she would one day rule over. Her father taught her carpet riding and gymnastics.
As her twelfth birthday approached, Azalea had very mixed feelings about school. She did not want to move so far from her family and her palace, but she desperately wanted friends her own age. She knew that she had to learn to rule effectively and she hoped that school would help her to do that. Upon arrival at Seacombe Halpworth, Azalea quickly noticed that a lot of her classes taught about following in your parent’s footsteps. Azalea didn’t mind this, as she knew how happy her mother was, but she felt badly for others who weren’t so fortunate. From that point, Azalea focussed her energies on making friends and found that she enjoyed school. She was always quietly rebellious (sneaking into dragon slaying lessons or climbing trees in the grounds so that she could read in peace) but she was clever and often helped other students with their work, so her indiscretions mostly went unmentioned.

RP Sample: Azalea smiled as she spun round the tower, faster and faster. She loved the wind in her hair and the adrenaline rush. Her heart beat faster and she gave a little squeal as she narrowly missed a collision with a bird. “Sorry!” she called behind her but the bird was gone. She gripped the edges of her flying carpet tightly as she hurtled round the corner of the building and down the school’s main driveway, dodging carriages and footmen laden with boxes and packages as she went. A hard bank to the left and she was skimming the surface of the lake, trailing her fingers in the water and earning herself a good few shouts from startled swimmers.
Across the stables and through a little wooded area, Azalea returned to the school at a much slower pace. She safely tucked her carpet into her dorm room, shook out her curls and headed down to the dining hall for dinner. Just down the corridor she passed a mirror. She laughed when she caught sight of herself. “Twigs in one’s hair is not becoming of a princess. You’ll never catch yourself a prince looking like that” she mocked, plucking four or five from the tangles of her hair, “There. Much better.” Azalea smiled at her reflection, her fingers idly playing with her necklace.
