Appearance:
Astrid mainly takes after her mother in looks with little hints of her father's appearance. Her long strawberry blonde hair is the same shade as her mother's, minus the white streak of course. Most of the time when you see Astrid her hair will down with a slight wave to it. It's a very rare occasion to see her with it completely up since she despises having it that way. Sometimes though, if the mood strikes her right, she will wear it up. Standing at 5'3 Astrid is quite a bit shorter than she would like to be, although she would never admit to being short. While almost all of her appearance takes after her mother she did get her father's light brown eyes.
The kingdom of Arendalle has a tendency to sometimes be extremely cold and it shows in Astrid's wardrobe. She owns a ridiculous amount of sweaters, jackets, hats, and boots. One of Astrid's greatest loves are boots and she can be seen wearing one of her many pairs on any given day. What Astrid wears usually depends on the current mood she's in and is very unpredictable. Falling comes second nature to Astrid. She is a very awkward and klutzy person, always tripping or stumbling in some way or another. Astrid contains a large amount of energy and can nearly always be seen running off on one adventure or another.
Personality:
Astrid is known to be the energizer bunny of her family, both a blessing and a curse. It's nearly impossible for her to contain her limitless amount of energy and she usually puts some of it into her love of ice skating. It's not an uncommon sight to see her running from one adventure to another. Astrid is a very adventurous girl and lives for adventure which is usually achieved in a reckless manner. Her reckless behavior almost always gets her in trouble. No matter how hard she tries to deny it or pretend she's not Astrid is in fact a very naive girl. She still lives in the fantasy world that no one would ever try to harm her on purpose and trusts nearly ever stranger she meets off the street. She likes to pretend that she known more about the world than she actually does.
One of the things that mean the most to her in the world is her loved ones. Astrid is a very compassionate person who would do nearly anything for the people that she loves. Both of her parents put a big emphasis on accepting people no matter what, ice powers and all. So Astrid has become a very non judgmental accepting person.Making friends comes easily to Astrid since she is a very outgoing person even if she can be very awkward. When she becomes friends with someone she puts all her trust in them and if that trust is broken it can be very hard to repair. Astrid can hold a grudge for quite a while but if you give it some time she'll usually forget it.

Unfortunately she didn't get the family ice powers.

Look into the Past
History:
Astrid was born and raised in the lovely kingdom of Arendalle followed by several younger siblings. Some might say that Astrid got the best of both the royal and commoner worlds. She was of royal blood but wasn't exactly anywhere close to ever having to take the throne but she also got some of the freedoms of a commoner life. Even though she wasn't in line for Queen her parents still made her take princess lessons, a thing Astrid detested with a passion.
Anna and Kristoff were both easy going parents since one of Anna's biggest fears was her children having a lonely isolated childhood like she had. Most of Astrid's childhood days were spent running around the kingdom or exploring the fjords with her siblings. It was times like those that she got her sense of adventure. Even though her parents did give her and her siblings quite a lot of freedom they were still protective in other ways. They were always extremely cautious over who their children were with and wouldn't let them go certain places, cough cough the southern isles.
It was at the young age of 4 that Astrid found one of her true passions in life, ice skating. From the first time her mother took her out on the ice she's felt completely at home with a place to put some of her never ending energy into. While she was usually an extremely awkward person being on ice and skating made her a little less awkward. She still was pretty awkward but it made it a lot less so.
No matter how hard Astrid tried she could never quite get the entire poised and elegant princess thing down. It wasn't that she didn't try, she did, but always reverted back to her regular awkward clumsy self. As for school itself Astrid loved learning and could retain the information it was just the paying attention and sitting down to finish her work part that Astrid struggles with. She loves learning but she just doesn't like the process of learning.
At the age of 13 both of Astrid's parents decided it was about time that their daughter farther her education and become a more well rounded young lady. After a little bit of asking around they discovered Seacombe Halpworth Academy and decided it was the best option for their daughter. Of course Astrid strongly protested to this not wanting to leave her beloved siblings or fjords behind. Eventually she gave in excited to finally meet new people and start a new adventure.

RP Sample: Astrid sat on the bench letting the cold air surround her as she tightly laced up her skates. The skates had been a birthday gift from several years earlier and the several year showed of wear and tare showed. Many a scuff covered them almost like a mark of the life of Astrid. Not that the marks bothered her. No matter how beat up her skates were they were still one of Astrid's most treasured possessions. As long as she could still skate in them they were good enough for her.
Excitement filled Astrid as she finished tying her last skate. It had seemed like forever since the last time she had been on the ice since school had been taking over all her free time. So to say the least she had been waiting to skate again for what seemed like centuries. She slowly rose from the bench not wanting to let her klumziness get the best of her.
As she stepped out on the ice she couldn't help but smile. She once again felt at home even though her real home was far, far away. Slowly she began to skate around the rink picking up speed as she went around and her energy levels grew. Should I try a spin? She pondered the thought in her head. It had been a while since she had been skating or tried any spins. It could be risky.
Oh well whats life without a little risk? Quickly she went into a spin every second going faster and faster. But suddenly her legs got the best of her and she went flailing out of it landing on the cold ice. She let out a sigh of embarrassment. Hopefully no one had seen. Maybe next time she should practice a little more before rushing right into a spin.
