Appearance:
A Prince in every aspect, Caleb’s a charismatic individual who exudes confidence with his every action. Possessing his father’s signature charm and his mother’s whimsical, yet optimistic world view Caleb is always aglow with vibe that seems to reel others in. Easily identifiable as the son of the famed King, Caleb has inherited far more traits on his father’s side than his mother’s. In many aspects people claim the resemblance to be uncanny. Most notably however would be his athletic physique and alluring facial features, such as his smile, both of which he owes to his father. While not as forwardly apparent as his father, people still pick up on aspects of his mother within Caleb.
Raised as a proper royal, Caleb carries himself a dignified and strong presence. Head up, chest out. These are two very important traits of a prince which have been instilled in him from a very young age. As an extrovert, Caleb has very little issue expressing himself and wearing his heart on his sleeve a trait which clearly transfers over into the expressiveness of his physicality. Caleb has no fear of sharing his emotions with the world and often gives little thought to the repercussions which could follow.
This willingness to express himself also tends to transfer over into his fashion choices. Back home, Caleb possessed various forms of prince garb, ranging from casual to extremely formal. While at the academy he still held a decent amount of these outfits in his closet, but he has since chosen to adapt to the modern style which this dimension possesses. Finding himself drawn to a preppier style of clothing, Caleb can typically be seen in variety vibrant pastel colors, wearing articles of clothing such as button ups, blazers, and shorts which typically border the line of being too short. However, he has been known to enjoy a simple combo of jeans and a shirt when he’s feeling more casual.
Personality:
Caleb is a highly extroverted individual, who has no problem being the center of attention. Definitely a people person, Caleb excels in social situations and always seems to easily captivate others with his charm. His infectious charisma can light up any party and breathe life into even the dullest of events. Talkative, bubbly, and an excellent listener Caleb is in his element when surrounded by others, something which easily helps him make friends with a large variety of different individuals. Like a magnet, Caleb manages to attract multiple friends (whether old or new) regardless of the environment. With these sorts of skills, one can hardly bring into question why he’s as popular of an individual as he is.
To be frank, Caleb isn’t a very bright individual. Now unlike others who may be lacking in the brains department, Caleb doesn’t allow this to label him. In fact, one might question if Caleb is even aware of how stupid he actually is. The answer is no. While Caleb is very aware of his struggle in school and academics, he doesn’t seem to place two and two together that he isn’t all that smart. Of course, Caleb’s boundless optimism and cheeriness seems to counterbalance the fact that he isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. His constant hopefulness and willingness to put his best foot forward is a valuable enough quality all within itself. But, it doesn’t hurt that he’s pretty.
As energetic and fun loving as Caleb is, he’s constantly seeking a sense of excitement in his day to day life in order to prevent becoming bored. This need for excitement can cause Caleb to grow weary of routines and he constantly seeks out new ways to fill this need. A major struggle for Caleb can be his ability to stay focused. Long-term dedication to a project that Caleb is not passionate about can be quite a hassle and often becomes more and more stressful for him. This, coupled with his poor planning skills often do more harm than good. Caleb’s been known to utilize the “just wing it” approach for a lot of things he needs to handle. School projects, vacations, packing, and other situations which should require an ample amount of planning are often improvised and handled by bursts of random energy that Caleb gets to work on them. While it isn’t the smartest to not plan things out step by step, Caleb has become quite good at improvising and getting tasks done in the spur of the moment.
Seeing as to how academically Caleb isn’t bringing a whole lot to the table, his strength relies solely in his charisma and go-getter attitude. While not being the sharpest tool in the shed isn’t too detrimental to Caleb as a human, it does affect how he acts within social situations. More often than not, he takes the back seat and follows along with what the more natural leaders will suggest. While this agreeableness does in fact lessen the complications of figuring out what to do, it means that Caleb is quite a bit more susceptible to following bad ideas just because he likes the person suggesting them.
As a teenager Caleb most definitely encounters his fair share teenage angst and drama. While Caleb doesn’t have a big affinity for drama or conflict, he typically finds himself placed in the middle of his friends’ issues. This is partly because of his approachable personality and the fact that he struggles at shutting down these types of conversations. Sadly, Caleb isn’t the best at handling these issues and often lets them play out around him with him acting as a “switzerland” of sorts in the conflict. Lastly, being as emotion-driven as Caleb is, he is very susceptible to criticisms. While he doesn’t take them too much to heart, it can sometimes bum him out when they’re very negative. But, he’s usually able to keep a chipper attitude about himself and remain his usual peppy self.

Look into the Past
History:
Caleb was born the sole heir to the newly crowned King Phillip and his bride Queen Aurora. Aurora, who had spent her own adolescence without her parents, was determined to grant her son the finest upbringing she could muster. Now, Aurora loved her three aunts dearly and with all her heart, but she knew that their love would never equate to that of the childhood Maleficent had robbed her of. This very mindset is the one which prevented the couple from giving birth to another child. After all, another child could cause the two to compete for their parent’s attention and Aurora would have none of that. She would be the loving and attentive parent she had always wanted.
To say Caleb’s life was privileged would definitely be an understatement, Aurora (who’d become insistent on him living his youth to the fullest) pushed Caleb towards following his heart and would stop at no expense to make sure his dreams were realized. The young prince was encouraged to dabble in anything and everything which he desired. Naturally, Caleb did as he pleased with this request and often tried his hand at various activities. His mother was content in his strides to discover a passion and he was grateful to have the opportunity to experiment the way he did.
Just as with all things, finding something which sparked his interest took some time, but Caleb eventually found something which he would fall in love with. When Caleb was about seven years old his family had been invited to a ball in another kingdom over. In order to prepare for the upcoming ball, King Phillip had hired an instructor to prep Caleb with some rudimentary ballroom dance skills. Much to his own surprise, Caleb rapidly picked up on the steps and instantaneously found himself invigorated with the art. Thrilled to learn of her son’s interest, Aurora employed some of the very best dance instructors to teach Caleb a wide range of styles and techniques.
However, dance wasn’t the only thing which Caleb had found an interest in. Caleb had also discovered a strong love for horseback riding and animals in general. Similar to his father, Caleb found himself more interested the opportunity to temporarily escape the palace walls rather than ability to ride for sport. More often than not, Caleb found himself riding off to a glen somewhere to get some much needed free time and get away from his life. Now, Caleb was most definitely an extrovert (he was a hoot at royal balls), but his parents and the same old servants could grow quite boring quite fast. It wasn’t as if Aurora was unable to keep offering new and exciting things to her son (she did have a fortune), it was simply the fact that Caleb yearned for a change of scenery and a chance at interaction with new and varied people.
Having spent a majority of his life privately tutored within the palace, Caleb’s never been in a school setting before. Because of this, when the chance to attend Seacombe Halpworth academy arose there was a large debate within his family. His father, on one hand, believed that Caleb deserved the chance to be a teenager and experience what it’s like to have to deal with your peers on a day to day basis. While Aurora felt it would only be detrimental for him to interact with others on a day to day basis, seeing as to how he’d never been involved in a constant a social setting before and wouldn’t know how to act. This debate raged on for quite sometime.
Two and a half years to be precise. The two had reached an agreement that if Caleb were to a.) avoid contact with villainous youth and b.) return home for the holidays, Caleb would be able to enroll for the second semester of his junior year. Of course, Caleb always had the option of withdrawing if he ever felt like he didn’t fit in or didn’t like the school that much. Caleb was thrilled to finally have be presented with the opportunity to leave his castle behind and meet all new people.
Much to Aurora’s relief, Caleb thrived at the new school. Ever the social butterfly, Caleb surrounded himself with a multitude of a friends and acquaintances. While at times his upbringing rendered him a bit oblivious or clueless to certain things, his constant cheer and gregariousness always managed to shine through said patchy moments. By the end of his junior year, Caleb had managed to work his way up the social ladder and earn himself the label of being a “popular”. Of course, his pretty face and prince status were large contributing factors.

If there was one thing Caleb couldn’t stand, it was his tutoring lessons. His tutor, a rather stout man by the name of Willard, often droned on and on about arithmetic and the like without ever once peeking the young man’s interest. But his studies were ‘imperative’ as his father would often state and thus forth Caleb would sit through the lessons out of necessity. But, that didn’t mean Caleb had to pay attention, no, that was an entirely different story. More often than not, Willard would snap Caleb back into reality after a particularly long day-dream. Usually with a stern, but gentle reprimanding (he was the prince after all). But not today, in fact today he had decided to dismiss Caleb all together after catching him going off on another flight of fancy. Perhaps he was catching onto the fact that Caleb couldn’t stay focused for too long. Whatever the case be, that was why Caleb stood where he stood now. In the stable.
Ever since he was little, Caleb’s mother had taught him to respect and treat animals as his equals. This early learning had inspired a mutual respect for animals within Caleb. A respect which would be useful down the line when he began horseback riding. Caleb simply loved the feeling of connecting with another creature and the ability to go out explore on his own without anyone else. It was a sense of independence which he hardly found around here. The boy reached into the satchel he’d brought with him and pulled out a decently sized carrot. He then approached the chocolate brown horse which stood in front of him. “Good girl, Nellie.” The young prince said as he began to stroke the mane of the horse in front of him. With a large smile, he offered the carrot to the horse who hastily snatched it up in her mouth and began to chew.
The horse’s delight with the carrot was quite apparent based on her cheery demeanor, which in turn boosted the already happy Caleb. “I thought you’d like it! I picked it out of the kitchen, just for you.” The young man said with a jolly chuckle. He then approached her side cautiously, yet soothingly as if to ask ‘Do you mind?’. She did not. With that, Caleb hopped atop the horse and grinned, allowing a moment for himself to soak in one of his favorite places. He then leaned forward with a large smile and asked “You ready?”
