Face Claim/PB:
Amra Cerkezovic
Appearance: Gwynedd is a tall, lanky person, with ruffled brown hair and piercing grey eyes. The one impression they always give off is wild - despite being royalty, they dress in ragged, well-worn clothing, constantly walking barefoot everywhere, a smear of dirt to be seen here and there. A bauble, a small sphere of light, follows them everywhere, bobbing gently behind, not helping with the Prince's strange appearance, at least compared to the other princes. A very fair, androgynous person, Gwynedd has been mistaken for a princess, before, depending on the clothing, which wouldn't surprise anyway. Expression-wise, at least to people they don't know, they seem solemn, with a small smile in place, usually, a happy person, but not expressive. Unlike all of their parents - someone has to be the sane one in the house, right?
Personality: To people that Gwynedd doesn't know, the Prince comes off as foreign, strange, and mysterious. Quiet, they regard most of the workings of the school, and most of the people around them, as very odd, something that their parents share - why would you kill a dragon? Sing? Why can only the princesses 'handle' animals? - coming from a very different, darker land than many of the others. When the land of Death hovers over your shoulder, when you have seen the face of those who were once living, yet still walk, when your pig can tell the future... You have a different perspective on life, and this prince is clear evidence of it.
They don't make friends easily, not in this strange place - preferring to remain to themselves, they're quiet and a little lost, unsure. Instead of speaking with others, Gwynedd wanders off in search of animals, follows their bauble - their Golden Pelydryn - and practices magic, little spells that they know by heart, that most people are surprised to see. A Prince? That does magic, and wanders about like a lost Princess? They life to defy the strange codes of the other lands, and wonder at them - the lands sound happy, full of magic and life, and Gwynedd is very curious.
How are they built, that these classes fit with them so keenly? How do they manage?
If someone deigns to get close to Gwynedd, though, or they find their interest alight on someone, the usually apathetic and quiet Prince shows that spark of life they've received from all of their family. They're stubborn, bold, intelligent, and kind - once gained as a friend, Gwynedd is a friend for life, and won't give you up for the world. However, they're quite socially awkward, another reason why they remain quiet - most of their companionship came from their family, servants and knights, and their magical brethren in the Summer Country - a place they cannot go often.
While appearing to be an apathetic, quiet, foreign person, Gwynedd, beneath their outward appearance, is a compassionate, fierce person - but the foreign aspect is completely right.

Look into the Past
History: The child of High King Taran, and Queen Eilonwy, Gwynedd had an unusual upbringing from the start - and no, quite a bit of that had nothing to do with the royalty aspect. With their mother an enchantress, their father a former pig keeper, and their 'Uncles' consisting of a strange, unique furry little creature who speaks in third person, and a wandering bard who is actually a minor king himself, as well as their friendship with the Fair Folk... well, it was no wonder than Gwynedd grew up a bit odd.
Uncle Fflewddur taught them how to perform music - though Gwynedd still isn't sure that was music - Uncle Gurgi climbed the royal trees in search of munchings and crunchings, and they went with. Mother taught them their magic, as much as she could, and Father taught them how to swing a sword. The Fair Folk taught them their magic - plenty for a "pretty child of a pretty Queen". When Eilowny had exhausted her knowledge, Gwynedd began getting tutored far away, in the Summer Country, thanks to the Fair Folk. The child soaked up knowledge like an utter sponge.
In fact, it was that that made their parents consider sending them to a school, proposed by a strange enchanter not from the Summer Country - however, Eilowny and Taran declined, at the time. There was still much for Gwynedd to learn, and they were all so close. How would it work out?
Time passed, though... and the family - not just the parents, they all had a stake in this - worried for the friendless nature of the prince. Oh, yes, they were very happy, very pleased with everything, and content to learn more, but aside from them... No, without their family, the Fair Folk, and the tutors, Gwynedd did not have relationships. As a result, Taran and Eilowny sat down with the child - teenager, now a teenager - explaining to them what they could do, go, where they could learn.
Gwynedd considered, and... accepted. Eilonwy promptly signed them up for both Prince and Princesses lessons, and now the Prince from a land that's... quite a bit darker than the others, has to figure things out. It's a strange world out there.

Tell us a Story
RP Sample: The library was someplace that was achingly familiar, and yet... very much not. The books were strange here - not the ones of home, vellum and ink-scratched pages, carefully decorated with intricate quilt pages - as were the bookshelves. People, floor, tables, everything... it was so odd, and it made Gwynedd want to return home, or even go outside, where things were familiar.
Their bare feet curled on the wooden floor, missing the gorgeous tapestries and rugs of home, as one hand scratched into their hair, biting their lip and frowning down at the book they were to read, a quill hovering over the parchment they were to write on. They didn't understand this, not at all - how to slay a dragon? Identifying dangerous creatures? Most of these beings would happily fit in Prydain, with no one looking at them too hard in the slightest!
By Arawn, Uncle Gurgi could fit in here!
Pelydryn had been off, chasing a few bugs eagerly along the windows, a small floating sphere of light, but at the sound of someone addressing Gwynedd, a voice, it bounded back, flitting rapidly through the air to hover above the Prince's shoulder, even as they looked up, surprised, to lock eyes with a rather happy-looking male. "...If you wish," they managed to get out, uncertain, blinking a bit at the question.
They weren't really approached often, being the dirty, barefoot, ragged-clothing wearing Prince with the magical glowing bauble they were. (They were also fairly certain that aside from the very observant people that noticed they were in their Prince/Princess class, people considered them a sidekick. Or a villain - not that it really mattered, their loss.
People were bizarre.)

Tell us a Little About Yourself!: I very much enjoy the Prydain Chronicles, and count them among my favorite series's. I'm a college student - so I will be fairly busy, unfortunately - and my favorite series is Harry Potter. Underrated Disney movies are the best.
