Face Claim/PB
[Jordan Fisher]
Appearance: Due to his mother being of significantly darker color than his fair-skinned father, Cyrille inherited a mix of both - leaving him with a mix of both. His curly, kinky hair was inherited from his mother as well, although everyone tells him he has his fathers' expressive brown eyes and thick eyebrows, and the propensity for hair to fall into his face. Cy also inherited his father's height - or lack thereof, as he stands at a short 5'3" - give or take a couple of inches due to his hair. Fair skin usually free of zits has made life a little easier for the boy.
One might look at Cyrille and think he looked feminine - cheekbones and jawline not as stout or thick as one might expect, and one would be correct; Cyrille, though he goes by male pronouns and calls himself a man, has the body of a young woman instead. Though common knowledge in his own world, at Seacombe Halpworth he's kept it a closely-guarded secret, wrapping his chest and quietly requesting a transfer in dormitories upon arriving.
Leaving his outsider status at home, Cyrille walks with a quiet confidence most days, and prefers to keep his head down and be quiet - he tends to go with common opinion, but is easily swayed by well-delivered arguments. He still wears some clothes from his home world, but has adopted most of his current outfits from common clothes in the Academy's world; t-shirt and jeans, scarves and bracelets, all of them can be found in Cyrille's closet. He owns a large collection of scarves, bought or borrowed from town and friends - sometimes stolen, if he thinks nobody will notice.
Cyrille is an expressive person, voicing his opinion when given the chance, though sometimes he prefers to hide behind others and merely suggest from the sidelines -- something his classes for evil sidekicks has taught him how to do quite well, although Cyrille prefers to put a more well-dressed spin on it.
Personality: Being raised by a villainous sidekick was - despite the often-times derisive comments other villagers made about his father - not a bad thing, at least not for Cyrille. His father was accepting and encouraging, and Cyrille considers himself pretty well-adjusted. Of course, this is in comparison to the small-minded people of the town in which he grew up, who still looked at the castle with occasional trepidation, and perhaps some dark muttering if the deer that year seemed thin of rank. But Seacombe Halpworth lets Cyrille expand on what he knows - and, most importantly, who he knows. In his own little village, Cy might have grown up to be yet another sycophant at the feet of a powerful man; here, he has plenty of time to pick and choose who he wants to follow and why.
Cyrille's general outlook on life at the academy is this: he plans on taking every single advantage he can wring out of his 'evil sidekick' listing and use it to the max. Stealing? He is evil. Slyly blaming others in his group for parts of the project he didn't finish? Sidekick maneuvering 101, baby. it's not as if the council would kick him out for playing his part to the hilt, Cyrille figures, and if he ends up making friends - or powerful allies - then all the better. Heroes and princesses are so easy to cozy up to; it's the one good thing about his short stature, Cyril has come to (begrudgingly) accept -- everyone tends to think he's much more harmless than he is. But Cyrille LeFoux has a few tricks up his sleeves, and if he can put the blame for those tricks on someone elses' shoulders, all the better!
Now, strangers and friends Cyrille treats quite differently; he cannot entirely escape his upbringing, even at Seacombe, and so he tends to regard all strangers with the same air of suspicion and hesitant rebelliousness all across the board. Over the years of schooling, Cyrille has come to be able to identify who is going to ignore him and why - they are good, and his is not, so he is below their notice; they have evil machinations he is not a part of, and so he is below their notice; they managed to swipe a bottle of vile green liquor from The Black Dragon, and are nursing a hangover that could give Dionysus a run for his money. As for friends...well, Cyrille doesn't have that many. Or, rather, any. A quiet boy who keeps to himself and fades into the background; fine as a lab partner so long as he reads all the directions twice, but otherwise - well, Cyrille would be much more open and talkative with a friend if he had one.

Look into the Past
History: As Gaston's plot to marry Belle failed, LeFoux followed in his masters' footsteps - although with more relief and happiness than did the muscular hunter. Still happy to follow Gaston around town and help in small schemes or tasks, LeFoux eventually fell in love with an out-of-towner woman who frequently came through with trading caravans to their provincial town. Whether or not she loved him back was a moot point; Cyrille's mother still moved on every year when the trades ended - and one year, she left the stoutly loyal evil sidekick with a baby; Cyrille.
Growing up in a small rural town, where everyone knew everyone else's business, Cyrille was a bit of an outsider - his dark skin was unusual for their area, and his penchant for dressing in boys' clothes from a young age only exacerbated his oddness in comparison with the more normal inhabitants. This would perhaps be a fine time to mention: Cyrille had been born female, but quickly discovered they preferred all things male - clothes, pronouns, work, even the better chance of schooling males had. His father had been surprisingly accepting - once they got over the shock. He didn't fully understand it, but boy or girl, he did love his child, even if some of the villagers viewed Cyrille as an oddity or danger.
Growing up around his father as the only parent, Cyrille spent much of his time around the man, and by extension, Gaston, though he was never allowed to go by the house - Gaston, however grudgingly accepting of the fact that LeFoux's child needed to tag along with LeFoux, with the absence of a mother around to watch the brat, refused quite vehemently to let Cy see or speak to his perfect, beautiful Gigi. Cyril saw her around town - not even Gaston could stop that - but they never really talked.
Never mind that Cyrille had friends, eventually, all his own, and wandered away from the house and his father whenever he could escape chores - or boring hunting trips listening to the older men talk about hunts and deer and guns, something Cyrille had never been particularly interested in after he learned the rudimentary basics of learning to shoot. LeFoux let his son wander where he would, though the man cautioned his boy to avoid the castle and the forest around it, without a gun at his side.
Once old enough, leFoux talked with Cyrille about sending him to school - somewhere better, and infinitely more strange than the small school-house the village had. More people, more things to learn, more places to see - eagerly Cyrille had agreed. Once there, Cyril found it was both harder and easier than he'd expected - he had never been very book-smart, but if he ever put his mind to something that interested him he could most certainly do very well at it. Eager to keep in contact, he frequently writes his father - using their normal method in his home world, quill and ink, though he's taken one or two phone calls from his dad.

RP Sample: They wanted him to study? Fine, he'd study...and cause little mischief, too, Cyrille mused.
Cyrille did not, as a rule, spend a lot of time in the library - he visited occasionally to borrow books or return them, and sometimes he scribbled out homework at one of the long tables. The rooms were rarely ever dusty or forgotten-looking (although he'd found some positively wicked-looking tomes in some of the more shady areas) and usually you had a good chance of running into at least one other student, if not a group - thus the reason stranger-shy Cyrille avoided the place. Staring at books all day made his eyes blur, anyway. But one had to do what one had to do in order to ensure a passing grade in class, and so there the 'sidekick' sat.
Looking around the expansive library, Cyrille eyed the vaulted ceilings and the towering bookcases, kept meticulously clean. Knocking over the shelves would have been satisfyingly destructive, but there was no way to tell if anyone was in the aisles - and he wanted to cause a little mayhem, not kill or even injure someone. Frankly, Cyrille blamed it on the books. Why did they have to be so dull and dry? It was awful, studying for classes - even if the books were leagues better kept than most he'd ever seen back home, that didn't make them any less irritatingly smug-looking. Or maybe that was just the faces of his classmates; it was a well-known fact that Cyrille Lefoux had a bit of trouble with his studies; frequently he'd have to scramble at the end of the school year to make a passing grade - sometimes by hook, sometimes by crook, he always managed to pass.
Hearing a set of footsteps coming, a plot started to percolate inside his curly-haired head. Tile floors, slick-backed books; perfect! Now all he had to do was aim properly; and though he lacked book smarts, Cyrille was not a half-bad aim at throwing. Setting the book nearest to him on the tiled floor, Cyrille lined up his shot, squinted his dark brown eyes, and sent the blue-bound book skidding noiselessly across the floor - looking back down at the book open in front of him, Cyrille started doodling randomly, merely keeping an ear out for the sound of tripping, or - if he was particularly lucky - someone falling onto their heroic/villainous butts.
Who knew; if there was a bumbling hero at their side, he might even get a two-for-one deal. A smile curled at Cyrille's lips, and he couldn't help but look up expectantly.
